Hi, I’m

A woman with long blonde hair in a ponytail kneeling on a green artificial grass surface, arm around a sitting black Labrador retriever, smiling at the camera, with a wooden fence and a small patio with a watering can in the background.

I have loved working with animals for as long as I can remember - owning horses and dogs from a young age and gaining hands-on experience since I was 14. I hold a 1st Class Honours in Equine Science, a Graduate Certificate in Animal Therapy, and a Masters in Animal Manipulation and I continue learning through regular professional development to provide the best care possible.

As a fully qualified McTimoney Veterinary Chiropractor, I’m registered with the McTimoney Animal Association, fully insured, and work closely with veterinarians and other therapists to ensure every animal gets the support they need.

I also lecture part-time at University in Equine Science and Performance Management which I love. I have a real passion for research within industry which contributes to being able to offer the most up to date comprehensive care.

10+ years of expert care for horses and dogs across the South of England.

I’m passionate about providing gentle, effective treatments tailored to each animal. I offer rehabilitation plans and ongoing guidance to help you feel confident and supported every step of the way.

While I treat a variety of animals, I have a particular interest in helping horses with rehabilitation and pain management, so they can move comfortably, recover fully, and thrive.

Sophie has treated my horse Flynn a few times now. Normally he is very tense and doesn’t really like people so I was quite nervous how this would play out and if she would even be able to treat him in the first place. Sophie was calm and patient with him and took things at his own pace, even taking short breaks when needed. By the end of the session he was relaxed, calm and really accepting. On his next treatment he was like a different horse! calm and relaxed as soon as he saw Sophie, she could even be in the stable with him alone and he was so calm he looked sedated!! Flynn now is so much freer in his movement and throughly happier after being corrected and finally being straight! I would highly recommend Sophie to anyone, especially if your horse is ‘difficult’ as she goes above and beyond for them and you. Sophie is quick to respond, thorough, supportive and so patient and I wish I had contacted her to treat Flynn sooner!

Sophie is extremely professional as well as very calm and quiet in her work. My horse enjoys his treatments. If I could afford one a day for him, I would.

Sophie is just lovely! She’s so calm with animals but bubbly and friendly too. Her communication is fantastic, and she explains everything she’s going to do. We had our first visit from her and our cat is already responding to treatment so well that he fell asleep straight after Sophie finished! She is very knowledgeable and kind. We were worried about our beloved Gizmo needing surgery but thank goodness we found Sophie! It’s likely now that with her expert treatment plan, Gizmo won’t need surgery and will gain strength and movement back such a relief. I’d highly recommend her

Sophie has come out and treated two of my horses now and I couldn’t be happier with her work! The horses felt amazing afterwards, my old mare felt physically straighter to ride after her first treatment. They both absolutely loved their treatments!
